Description
Want to give character to your characters? Realistic designs are achieved by incorporating shadows and highlights into a design. Learn the design parameters required to shade and highlight with thread to create realism. A preprinted design easily guides you through each step. Also, this workshop will show you how to divide a design into parts then assemble it so the design has more dimension and thus more realism. This is the first workshop I will teach to show how-to thread paint figures similar to the figures in my latest competitive quilt – the Declaration of Independence – Voices of Freedom. So come see how easy the process is and how much fun creating designs in thread can be!
Workshop Kit Includes:
- Custom printed background fabric
- (7) pieces of water-soluble stabilize
- (3) pieces of printed stabilize
- (2) pieces of tull
- Detailed instruction boo
- Before workshop homework
You will also need to bring to class a 6” machine embroidery hoop. If you don’t have a 6″ machine embroidery hoop, you can add one to your order. For those using 40-weight polyester thread on the upper spindle Superior’s 60-weight Bottom Line thread has been recommended in a dark or light color but is not mandatory. The wrong weight thread in the bobbin can result in an unbalanced tension with the bobbin thread popping to the top threads. But you are learning a technique and the proper bobbin thread can be purchased at a later date.
